Supplements that I use

When it comes to building your body, what you eat plays a very important role. Luckily for us, Nepalese people, we have a pretty good diet. However, there are some few elements missing which we need to adjust. Me personally, I don’t like eating any special foods, instead I love our regular diet. However, there are a few supplements that I use in order to get the missing nutrients which I don’t get from regular diet.

So, I am going to talk about few supplements that I personally use and I believe that you would benefit from as well, if you include in your diet.

Let’s start with the first one.

1.Whey Protein

Whey protein is one of the first supplements that I started using. Some people have misconception about whey that it is made up of chemicals. But that’s not true. Whey is actually made up of milk. Whey is a fast digesting protein. If you’re busy in your day to day life and don’t have time to prepare your meal, then whey protein can be the best replacement for your meal. I usually start my day with whey protein and I prefer it as my post workout meal as well.

2.Multivitamins and Fish oil

These two supplements are not just for building muscle. These are the supplements that are very necessary to our health as well. We don’t get enough minerals and vitamins from our diet. For someone like me who doesn’t get to eat enough fruits and vegetables, I tend to use a multivitamin. Multivitamin is important for our skin, hair, nails and proper functioning of our body.

Fish is often recommended on a healthy diet. It is said that we need to eat fish 4 to 5 times a week. People from south of India are very healthy because they get to eat fish like almost every day. Fish oil is very important for the better functioning of the human heart, brain and bones.

3.Amino Energy/BCAAs

BCAAs are another supplement that I use because it has caffeine in it and because it is flavored, I tend to drink more water during my workout. You can use it as a pre workout or intra workout supplements as well.

You can get different variety of flavors. But among various flavors, orange is my favorite one. I have been stuck to this flavor for a long time. You can give this a try.

4.Casein

Casein protein is also made from milk. The only difference between casein and whey is that whey is made from the thinner layer of the milk whereas casein is made up of the thicker layer of the milk.

Casein is a slow digesting protein. Usually, I recommend using casein before going to bed so that your body is getting protein while you’re sleeping.

It’s been years that I have been using supplements from Optimum Nutrition because they are a very renowned brand and millions of people have trusted them for decades.

Know that, supplements are not a necessity. They are just a replacement for your meal. However, they can make your lifestyle very convenient and help you consume all the necessary nutrients that you might miss from your everyday diet. Personally, I recommend multi vitamins and fish oil to everyone not just from bodybuilding point of view but as a general health recommendation as well.
